INTRODUCTIONTo manage the production of Visual Merchandise décor for our stores nationwide, by ensuring that Woolworths’ high quality production standards are adhered to, with a strong sense of urgency to deliver to deadlines, within budget.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTechnical & Functional Competencies - Relevant qualification
- 3 years’ relevant production experience
- Extensive knowledge of repro and print processes
- Extensive knowledge of MS computer packages, especially Excel
- Ability to analyse and interpret information
- Understanding of design
- Excellent communication skills
- Good negotiation skills
- Visual discernment, colour distinction and co-ordination
- Strong planning and organisational ability
- Project management skills and experience
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within the production team

- Manage the production process of all promotions from brief to delivery.
- Source competitive quotes from suppliers and challenge the existing supplier base to ensure effective budget management.
- Source new suppliers to ensure newness and innovation.
- Timeously action briefs received from the Creative Managers by developing DIs (Delivery Instructions)/order forms and sourcing quotes from various suppliers to be submitted to Procurement.
- Place orders with suppliers and develop the DIs for the suppliers as per signed off cost estimates.
- Manage the reproduction of images by placing high resolution images into production for retouching, colour correction and approval of colour in conjunction with Design.
- Ensure good budget management.
- Manage logistics regarding the despatch of visual décor to stores.
- Manage all store décor queries/requests.
- Record detailed information regarding all stores (sizes, specific store requirements, etc).
